Seafest is set to make a splash next weekend in Plymouth. This year’s event, being held on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September, promises to be the biggest yet, with a diverse range of businesses, traders, and family-friendly activities spanning the waterfront from Bretonside to Royal William, and across to Mount Batten and Mount Edgcumbe.
This year, Plymouth Waterfront Partnership are partnering with Plymouth City Council and Plymouth Sound National Marine Park to make the festival even bigger than ever. The Plymouth Sound National Marine Park is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Seafest will offer something for everyone. Visitors can explore a fantastic variety of trader stalls lining The Parade, Quay Square and West Pier, with many selling delicious fresh food dishes to enjoy on the day, with others selling special treats to purchase including local art, crafts and accessories.

We really want to encourage visitors to use public transport as much as possible with a free shuttle bus and reduced fares on Plymouth Boat Trips and the Mount Batten Ferry.”
The young, and young at heart, are encouraged to take part in the ever-popular Seafest Trail – pick up a trail map from the Tourist Information Centre and find the clues positioned around The Barbican. This year’s trail has kindly been supported by local artist Debby Mason.
Live music featuring a diverse range of artists and entertainment including the ever-popular shanty bands, some of which will appear in local venues in the evening, will play across the weekend; this year there’s the main ‘Seafest Sound Stage’ at West Pier.
To ensure easy access for all, Seafest will be well-connected by public transport including subsidised ferry tickets to Mount Batten and Mount Edgcumbe (subject to availability), and the free ‘Shark and Ride’ shuttle bus service, provided by Plymouth Citybus, will stop at all Seafest locations along the waterfront from 10am until 4pm on both days.
