More Waterfront businesses will be able to open their doors for the first time from 17th May 2021 as we enter step 3.

Pubs, cafes and restaurants can reopen indoors (max 6 people or 2 households at a table) and hotels, B&Bs, theatres, cinemas and other attractions can reopen to welcome in guests.

Covid-19 restrictions will still be in place, but this will be the first step for many businesses to open and we wish them all luck and to get in touch if you need any help.

 

Here’s a 10 point check list to help make your reopening and bounce back, as quick and strong as possible.

 

1. Stay up to date with safety guidelines.

 

Keep up-to-date with the Government’s guidelines, see details on how to keep your staff and customers safe here. It will be regularly updated with all the information on your responsibilities, safety measures, funding, testing and more.

2. Get your FREE ‘Geddon Plymouth’ Signage Pack

 

Order your free ‘Geddon Plymouth’ reopening signage pack which includes.

Posters, a window sticker, a standing flyer and a reopening social media prompt sheet with tips on how to make your messaging reach more people. 

3. FREE Shop 4 Plymouth listing

Make sure your business is listed on Shop 4 Plymouth, the city’s online marketplace for shops, eateries and service providers. Join in with our campaign to encourage people to shop & eat local and try new places along the Waterfront.

4. Update/Add your Visit Plymouth listing

Waterfront BID members in the leisure, tourism and hospitality industry, have a FREE listing on Visit Plymouth. Check that your business description and information are still correct and visitor-ready. Are the pictures up to date? Perhaps you’ve added new facilities you’d want to mention? Send over any refreshed imagery & text to info@visitplymouth.co.uk.

5. Promotional Support – Keep your Waterfront BID updated!

Is your business putting on any special offers for the re-opening? Do you have new seating or something you’d like to promote more? Let us know about any offers or updates so that we can help share your news.
